Turkey has concluded bilateral and multilateral agreements: in a joint statement, RCEP leaders said the signing of the agreement “shows our strong commitment to supporting economic recovery” from the slowing of the pandemic, with job creation and “open, inclusive, rules-based trade and investment.” The China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (FTA) was fully completed on 1 January 2010 and since then China has become ASEAN`s largest trading partner, while ASEAN has become China`s third largest trading partner. It is a list of free trade agreements between two parties in which each party could be a country (or another customs territory), a trade bloc or an informal group of countries. On 7 April 2008, Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao and former New Zealand Prime Minister Helen Clark witnessed the signing in Beijing of the China-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which came into force on 1 October 2008. The agreement is the first comprehensive free trade agreement ever signed by China, as well as China`s first free trade agreement with a developed country. China, meanwhile, applauded rcep as a victory. “The signing of the RCEP is not only a monumental achievement of East Asian regional cooperation, but even more important, a victory for multilateralism and free trade,” Premier Li Keqiang said, according to Chinese media. For Mr. Trump and other supporters, the approach to past trade agreements, which has allowed the outsourcing of businesses and led to the loss of jobs and industries. Critics say this is the kind of controlled trade that the United States has long criticized, particularly with regard to China and its control over its economy.
The pact aims to open up Chinese markets to more U.S. companies, increase agricultural and energy exports, and better protect U.S. technology and trade secrets. China has committed to purchase an additional $200 billion in U.S. goods and services by 2021, and is expected to ease some of its tariffs on U.S. products. As far as trade in goods is concerned, at least 90% of the goods of both parties will not have gradual access to customs on the markets of the other party. In terms of services, Costa Rica will open an additional 45 sectors to China, including telecommunications, education and tourism, while China will open seven more service sectors in Costa Rica.
